Hip-hop group Black Eyed Peas song I Gotta Feeling is the best-selling digital song of all time, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The track spent 14 weeks at the top of the US music chart and sold 5.56 million digital downloads. The song beat Flo Rida's Low, which had previously held the record having sold 5.53 million since March 2008. Boom Boom Pow - another song by Black Eyed Peas - is the fourth best-selling digital song in history. Lady Gaga's Just Dance is at number three with 5.36 million sales and the pop star's Poker Face rounds off the top five with 5.13 million sales. In February I Gotta Feeling was officially named the most downloaded track by the ITunes online store.

Bolton, however, confessed he had no clue who Lady Gaga was as the request came when she was not on the starry music scene completely, reports The Daily Star. Gene Simmons wants Lady Gaga to join his band Kiss. The bass player is a huge fan of the flamboyant singer, and says she reminds him of himself when he was younger. Kiss are famed for their outrageous stage shows and for covering their faces in black and white make-up. Simmons insists they are the trailblazers of Gaga's look. She is renowned for her outlandish dress sense, often donning underwear for an evening out and wearing skin-tight lace veils to cover her face. "She's not Lady Gaga, she's really Lady Kiss," Gene said. "I love the vibe, the big mouth and the big visuals. She's the most exciting thing to happen since us. She's a female version of us." Gene, 60, explained the key to becoming a successful artist is understanding the part fans play in your career. He claims many new stars aren't interested in making those who look up to them happy, which is a huge mistake. "One of the first things we learned was to treat the audience as the guv'nor. When they buy a ticket they become your boss. We just work here," he told British newspaper The Daily Star. "She realises that her fans deserve the best you got because they pay your wages." Kiss are currently performing a series of arena shows in the UK. Gene is excited about taking to the stage, saying it marks a new period in the group's career. Original members Ace Frehley and Peter Criss have now left, with Gene saying their "negative influence" held the band back.
